T-Systems Austria's journey to automation excellence with Camunda

T-Systems Austria faced inefficient, manual IT operations across its large data center—VM provisioning, patching and incident response were managed by email and manual steps, causing long throughput times, high costs and limited transparency. To modernize processes the company built myProcess, an end-to-end ordering and automation portal powered by the Camunda Platform.

myProcess leverages Camunda’s workflow engine to deliver 30+ automated use cases with a user-friendly request portal, an eight-person team, and an iterative automation approach. The results include over 24,065 hours of manual work saved in 2023, the patch automation workflow saving more than 8,500 hours in one year, VM provisioning cut to under two hours, and improved data quality, customer satisfaction and real-time process visibility; T-Systems Austria is now preparing to migrate from Camunda 7 to Camunda 8 for further gains.
