Sparebanken Vest (SPV), Norway’s third-largest bank, needed a more modern way to manage customer onboarding and other workflows. Its legacy automation systems were manual, inflexible, and increasingly outdated, creating bottlenecks for new DevOps teams and making it harder to deliver a smooth customer experience. SPV turned to Camunda, using Camunda 8 and related platform tools to improve process orchestration.

With Camunda, Sparebanken Vest automated and orchestrated onboarding and other banking processes, gaining much greater visibility, technical efficiency, and business autonomy. The bank reduced technical errors from around 5% to “0.something,” cut down manual intervention, and improved scalability for growing customer volumes. Camunda also helped SPV speed up issue resolution, support local testing for developers, and create a more reliable, seamless onboarding experience for customers.
