A Camunda Case Study
BSI Financial Services faced slow, error-prone loan onboarding driven by large, manual back-office processes and complex data transfers from multiple sellers and systems. To support a broader digital transformation and make operations predictable, transparent, and scalable, BSI evaluated process orchestration tools and selected Camunda Platform to model and orchestrate BPMN-based automation across their loan onboarding workflow.
Using Camunda, BSI redesigned and orchestrated the onboarding process to automate repetitive human tasks and improve upstream error handling, achieving measurable gains: onboarding time dropped from 4–5 days to two days or less (~50% faster), onboarding cost fell by ~35%, servicing errors fell to under 5%, and roughly 50–60% of volume now runs straight-through with near-instant secondary validation. Camunda’s BPMN tooling and flexibility also improved visibility, employee experience, and created a foundation for further orchestration and AI-driven automation.
