North Central Texas College (NCTC), a multi-campus community college serving over 10,000 students, struggled after outsourcing financial aid verification and related processes—turnaround times stretched from weeks to months, staff turnover and a complex verification environment made the outsourced model neither student-friendly nor efficient. Director of Financial Aid Ashley Tatum brought the work back in-house and sought a solution to simplify processes and improve the student experience.
NCTC implemented CampusLogic StudentForms in early 2016 to manage verification, professional judgments, SAP appeals, automated communications, and secure mobile document uploads. The result: a 30% reduction in financial aid processing time, parent e-signatures in under 24 hours, elimination of faxing/scanning/indexing, improved completion rates and fewer student errors; over 1,800 students had accounts and staff reviewed more than 1,330 files by the end of 2016.
