California Baptist University experienced a rapid enrollment surge—about 2,000 new students in three years—which put heavy strain on its Financial Aid Office. Slow, paper-based verification processes, compounded by growing online enrollment and rolling start dates, led to long delays, high staff workload, and the risk of students dropping out of the aid process.
CBU implemented CampusLogic’s StudentForms in early 2015 to digitize verifications, automate communications, and let students upload documents from any device. The results were dramatic: verifications completed rose 61% (from 2,545 to 4,107), verifications-per-day and peak throughput increased substantially (including a record 300 verifications in 12 hours), average days from submission to verification fell from 20.6 to 9.8, and time to award letter dropped by about 41%, greatly speeding awards and reducing staff burden.
