The Wharton School Partners with CampusGroups to Implement an Innovative Clubs Rating System

The Wharton School partnered with CampusGroups to address a challenge familiar to many student communities: with more than 100 clubs and organizations and students joining an average of nine clubs each, it was difficult for students to choose the right groups and for club leaders to understand what was working. The school wanted a better way to collect feedback, help incoming students make informed decisions, and give club officers useful insights for planning.

Working with CampusGroups, The Wharton School launched a custom Clubs Rating feature that let students rate clubs and leave comments during a fixed review period, while also enabling leaders to download detailed reports with ratings, comments, and demographic breakdowns. The launch was well received, with a huge response rate and overwhelmingly positive feedback, and the school can now compare clubs across five rating dimensions, identify top performers, and analyze trends that may affect future club participation.
