A CampusGroups Case Study
The City College of New York needed a smoother way to manage its large 2018 commencement, where nearly 3,000 graduates and guests had to be registered, checked in, and directed efficiently across multiple events. CampusGroups provided ticketing and mobile attendance tracking tools to help the Student Life Department handle the complexity of a high-attendance ceremony.
Using CampusGroups’ QR code ticketing, mobile app scanning, and team-based organizer features, CCNY volunteers were able to check in about 2,700 guests quickly, with no long lines, while also accommodating manual lookup for attendees without tickets. CampusGroups also supported ticket limits, ticket transfers, and real-time attendance dashboards, giving organizers immediate data before, during, and after the event to measure results and improve event management.
