A CampusESP Case Study
The University of Montana, with a student population that is 40% first-generation, faced the challenge of supporting these students and their families. Families expressed a strong desire to be involved but did not know how, where to find information, or what important deadlines to remind their students about. To address this, the university worked with vendor CampusESP to expand its usage of the CampusESP for Family Communication service.
CampusESP provided a dedicated family portal that handles 90% of content curation, informing first-gen families on crucial topics like the college transition and student mental health. The solution directly addressed the information void identified in focus groups. As a result, the University of Montana successfully equipped families with the knowledge to better support their students, creating programs intended to meet the specific gaps and needs of their first-generation population.
