UNC Charlotte, through its New Student and Family Services team, wanted to improve family engagement by delivering more helpful, personalized information and streamlining communications across departments. In March 2021, the university chose CampusESP to support its family engagement goals and help manage the Niner Nation Family Association.

CampusESP helped UNC Charlotte launch the 49er Family Hub in just three weeks, with support from a Customer Success Manager and guidance to coordinate across IT, eCommerce, Student Affairs Marketing, and Purchasing. The platform enabled personalized content for groups like first-year, first-generation, transfer, in-state, and Family Association families, while also supporting membership tracking and sales; the university reported faster implementation than expected, better collaboration, and a stronger sense of belonging for families.
