Texas State University hits 6,880 FERPA connections with CampusESP

Texas State University faced the challenge of efficiently managing FERPA-protected information requests from parents while complying with privacy laws. Processing hard-copy forms created delays, frustrated families, and burdened staff with manual data entry. To address this, the university partnered with CampusESP to implement its FERPA Management service.

CampusESP provided a digital solution that allowed students to approve parent access to their information online. This streamlined the process, eliminating paper forms and significantly reducing staff workload. The results were substantial, with over 29,000 digital FERPA connections established and more than 115,000 parents receiving updates. This improved engagement contributed to a potential increase in student persistence of up to 20.9%.
