Morehouse College boosts family engagement with CampusESP and raises $20,000 for scholarships

Morehouse College, a historically Black college, sought to strengthen its student support network by improving engagement with families to aid in Black student success. They partnered with the vendor CampusESP to implement a dedicated family engagement platform to facilitate better communication and involvement.

Using CampusESP, Morehouse created a system for families to become "coaches, not quarterbacks," providing them with clear information on financial aid, career outcomes, and student life. The solution included promoting and running elections for its parent council through the platform and using discussion boards to foster trusted connections. CampusESP helped Morehouse turn family involvement into tangible support, including a parent council that raised over $20,000 for scholarships and provided direct student encouragement.
