Case Study: Texas A&M University Achieves Virtual Orientation Success with CampusESP

A CampusESP Case Study

Preview of the Texas A&M University Case Study

How Texas A&M pulled off virtual orientation for 14,000 families

Texas A&M University needed to quickly replace its usual in-person family orientation when the pandemic disrupted campus plans just six weeks before the first session. The university turned to CampusESP and its orientation engagement platform to create a virtual experience that could serve thousands of incoming families, including first-year, transfer, and Spanish-speaking audiences.

Using CampusESP, Texas A&M launched a fully virtual orientation in just two weeks with unique Orientation Hubs, phased family onboarding, weekly content tracks, email updates, event registration, and moderated discussions. The program reached more than 14,000 families, generated 262,000+ emails, 245,000 content clicks, and 67% average email open rates, while 95% of families said orientation prepared them for their student’s first year—matching the results of in-person orientation.
