The University of San Diego, home to over 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students across seven colleges and a Division I athletics program, needed a modern way to help students, staff, and visitors navigate campus and access up-to-date campus information. Michael O’Brien, Senior Director of Library & Web Services, led the effort and partnered with CampusBird to address USD’s digital wayfinding and campus information challenges.

CampusBird implemented an interactive, web- and mobile-friendly campus map and wayfinding solution integrated into USD’s web services, providing searchable building information, event overlays, and clear navigation for users. The CampusBird deployment improved on-campus navigation and visitor experience, increased engagement with campus maps, and delivered measurable gains in wayfinding efficiency and reduced directional inquiries to campus staff.
