Reifenhäuser, a family-run extrusion systems manufacturer based in Troisdorf, faced extremely complex product configuration—up to 30,000 components for some systems—and a costly, coordination-heavy sales process with decentralised documentation and specialist knowledge locked in individuals. To address this, Reifenhäuser selected the camos CPQ solution to standardise configuration, capture know‑how and streamline offer creation.
camos implemented a centrally managed CPQ platform with ERP and CAD interfaces, configurable rules that ensure component compatibility, and automated multilingual offer generation; the system was commissioned at Reifenhäuser Cast Sheet Coating within six months and has been in use since 2007. The camos solution centralised documents and guidelines, made contribution margins visible during pricing, sped up offer preparation, improved transparency across the sales process, accelerated onboarding of new staff, and has since been extended with risk assessment and project reporting—additionally adopted by the Blown Film subsidiary in March 2017.
