Topcon runs a 9-month solar time-lapse project with CamDo Solutions

CamDo Solutions helped Topcon, a company that delivers surveying and construction systems, to create a construction time-lapse for their new Livermore Training Center. The challenge was to power cameras on an active grading site where running electrical lines was not possible, and to place them high enough to capture the work without interfering with construction equipment.

The solution involved deploying GoPro cameras powered by solar panels and batteries, mounted on tall posts. This allowed for continuous, maintenance-free operation for nine months. The resulting time-lapse video successfully raised awareness and interest among Topcon's international customers for the new facility. Following this success, Topcon engaged CamDo Solutions for an additional expansion project.
