Leading Systems Integrator Company needed a modern replacement for a legacy link analysis tool used by a major European national police force. The existing Java applet-based system was unreliable, insecure, unmaintained, and slow to deploy, creating delays and support issues for investigators who relied on it daily. Cambridge Intelligence’s KeyLines JavaScript toolkit was selected to provide a more secure, reliable, and customizable alternative.

Cambridge Intelligence worked with the SI to build a drop-in replacement that matched the police force’s existing workflows and user interface, then expanded it with advanced link analysis features such as images, social network analysis measures, glyphs, halos, dotted links, and planned Time Bar integration. The first prototype was delivered in just one to two weeks, and the solution was ultimately rolled out to fully replace the old Java system, improving usability, speed, and analytical capability.
