European Space Agency strengthens NLP insight with Cambridge Intelligence

The European Space Agency (ESA) faced the challenge of monitoring the rapidly growing satellite technology market by tracking vast amounts of unstructured public data from diverse sources. They partnered with Cambridge Intelligence and its KeyLines graph visualization toolkit, used within GraphAware's Hume platform, to develop a new way to structure and understand this information.

Cambridge Intelligence's solution involved using Hume's NLP models to automatically ingest and process unstructured data, transforming it into a structured knowledge graph that was then visualized with KeyLines. This allowed ESA to quickly uncover new insights and validate connections between entities like organizations and technologies. The project established a constantly improving, automated workflow where the knowledge graph updates itself as new data becomes available, significantly strengthening ESA's analytical capabilities.
