YLess4U Improves Connectivity for Rural Australia

YLess4U, a Canberra-based service provider, faced rapidly growing bandwidth demands as more customers worked and streamed from home. With previous connectivity topping out around 700 Mbps and a technical requirement for maximum bandwidth on the 80 GHz band over 10 km plus failover capability in the 11–18 GHz range, YLess4U switched to Cambium Networks’ point-to-point (PTP) solutions to meet those needs.

Cambium Networks deployed PTP 850E millimeter‑wave radios and PTP 820S licensed microwave units (with PTP 820C used in ongoing sites) using enhanced multi‑band technology; Cambium’s sales and technical support guided the rollout. The change now supports 900 subscribers, delivers up to 9 Gbps with a seamless 1 Gbps failover during rain, lowers latency, increases stability (even in heavy fog), and enables faster future deployments.
