Wireless Nation Connects New Zealand’s Motorhome Travelers with Reliable Outdoor Wi-Fi

Wireless Nation, an ISP in Auckland, New Zealand, needed reliable outdoor Wi‑Fi for NZMCA motorhome parks where mobile coverage is poor or absent. They required rugged hardware that integrated with their authentication system, supported free and paid user tiers, minimized site visits, and was cost‑effective to deploy and scale. To meet these needs they partnered with Cambium Networks and standardized on Cambium equipment.

Cambium Networks supplied a solution built around XV2‑2T0 Outdoor Wi‑Fi 6 access points, cnMatrix PoE switches, NSE 3000 (secured RADIUS over WireGuard), cnMaestro cloud management and the Wi‑Fi Designer tool. The plug‑and‑play deployment and test‑lab validation lets installers mount and connect quickly; each park can support up to 80 vehicles at peak, enabling reliable browsing, app use and payments. The Cambium Networks deployment improved safety and convenience for travelers, reduced non‑payment incidents, and delivered a scalable, cost‑effective network that boosts Wireless Nation’s service value.
