Wireless CCTV Surveillance Protects Industrial Facilities

Endeavour (Endeavour Africa Group) was asked to provide video surveillance covering a six-kilometer perimeter at each of three factory sites, deploying 150 HD IP cameras (two per pole). Because copper cabling would have been expensive, time-consuming and difficult to maintain, Endeavour engaged Cambium Networks and its ePMP wireless broadband solution for reliable connectivity.

Cambium Networks implemented a hub-and-spoke ePMP architecture using ePMP Force 110 PTP 130 Mbps backhaul links, eight GPS‑synchronized ePMP access points with 120° sector antennas per site, and ePMP Subscriber Modules delivering 6–10 Mbps at each pole. The deployment was rapid, provided continuous HD 24/7 video (each SM sustaining up to 10 Mbps), eliminated the need for per-pole switches via auxiliary ports, avoided costly fiber/copper installation, and delivered reliable throughput and strong vendor support—boosting Endeavour’s reputation and prompting plans for further Cambium deployments.
