Uncompromising Connectivity for a Digital Transformation

SACSM, an industrial supplier in San Marino that manufactures steelwork and weighing, bagging, and palletizing systems, faced inadequate communications infrastructure to support voice, video surveillance, data, inventory control and automated material tracking across a warehouse full of shelving and machinery, and needed to interconnect two facilities 6.5 km apart. To address this, SACSM engaged Eurocom Innovazione and selected Cambium Networks products—including PTP 450b and cnPilot e410 access points—to meet its coverage and capacity requirements.

Eurocom implemented a Cambium Networks solution using PTP 450 with nLOS to link the separate sites, cnPilot e410 APs for seamless office and warehouse coverage, and Cambium’s management tools for centralized monitoring. The upgrade increased throughput from under 20 Mbps to symmetrical 50 Mbps, enabled IP surveillance, VoIP, machine control and guest connectivity, and gave SACSM stronger network control and scalability with faster fault detection and management.
