Umbria International Airport’s Wi-Fi Takes off with cnPilot™

Umbria International Airport in Perugia, Italy — serving more than 350,000 travelers a year — struggled with an ADSL‑based Wi‑Fi system that offered limited coverage, performance and a cumbersome authentication process. The airport’s operator SASE engaged Tecnoadsl, which selected Cambium Networks' solutions (cnPilot access points and cnMaestro cloud management) to modernize the wireless service.

Tecnoadsl deployed Cambium Networks’ cnPilot e600 indoors and cnPilot e500 outdoors and put the network under cnMaestro cloud management, delivering seamless coverage across arrivals, departures, gates, retail zones and external parking. The upgrade enables simple social or email login, consistent 10 Mbps connections for passengers, and zero‑touch provisioning plus end‑to‑end visibility via Cambium Networks, streamlining operations and reducing maintenance.
