A Cambium Networks Case Study
The Tour of Britain, the UK’s largest professional cycling race, needed reliable public and operational Wi‑Fi across eight finish cities in eight consecutive days. The event required weather‑resistant, robust, fast-to-install, high‑density equipment, so KBR selected Cambium Networks’ cnPilot e500 outdoor access points and the cnMaestro cloud management system to meet those demands.
Cambium Networks provided and KBR deployed over a dozen cnPilot e500 APs at each finish line, meshed together and managed via cnMaestro for rapid single‑cable installs and no single point of failure. The solution brought all eight networks online on schedule, delivered high‑density Wi‑Fi for thousands of simultaneous users even in adverse weather, and gave organizers real‑time visibility into network traffic.
