Case Study: Guaíba Telecom achieves higher throughput and reliability with Cambium Networks' ePMP 2000

A Cambium Networks Case Study

Preview of the Guaíba Telecom Case Study

Top Performer in a Noisy and Competitive Market

Guaíba Telecom, a Brazilian ISP serving business and residential customers around Porto Alegre, was facing rising latency, packet loss and capacity limits after outgrowing inexpensive 802.11 gear. To remain competitive they evaluated Cambium Networks and its ePMP wireless broadband system, looking for equipment that would deliver improved speed, capacity and reliability.

Cambium Networks deployed ePMP 2000 Access Points (building on ePMP 1000 compatibility), using Hypure™ beamforming and intelligent filtering plus LINKPlanner and spectrum analysis for optimized design. The upgrade immediately improved link quality and reduced packet drops across CPEs, achieved up to 100 Mbps in a 20 MHz channel with higher modulations, enabled more subscribers per sector, increased sales of higher‑tier plans, improved spectrum reuse and cut maintenance calls.
