A Cambium Networks Case Study
Porto Cesareo, a coastal municipality and protected natural area, needed a low‑impact, reliable territorial video surveillance system to protect its beaches, pine woods and public spaces while working within budget and limited fiber/ADSL availability and a congested 5 GHz environment. The town engaged Cambium Networks and selected its cnVision video surveillance solutions to meet the challenge.
Cambium Networks deployed four cnVision HUBs (with RF Elements Horn Antennas), 18 cnVision CLIENT MINIs and 4 cnVision Clients to support 40 cameras (38 fixed, including 34 5MP and 4 4K cameras, plus 2 PTZ units). Using Cambium Networks’ eAlign and Spectrum Analyzer tools, installation was fast and optimized; today all cameras stream full data to the VMS with no bottlenecks, many links retain headroom for expansion, and the network also carries alarms and early‑warning fire protection—demonstrating improved coverage, performance and capacity for future services.
