A Cambium Networks Case Study

Preview of the Eloque Technophiles Case Study

Spreading Connectivity to Make a Difference

Eloque Technophiles, a technology solutions provider in Mtubatuba, South Africa, was asked to expand Internet access from the Ubuhle‑Bemvelo Primary School’s single low‑speed VSAT link to students, nearby households and businesses. Facing limited and unreliable cellular connectivity, Eloque evaluated wireless broadband options and selected Cambium Networks’ ePMP solution to deliver a cost‑effective, rapidly deployable network.

Cambium Networks installed a 15‑meter tower with three ePMP 1000 Access Points and six ePMP Subscriber Modules, providing up to 2 km of coverage and 100 Mbps throughput in a 20 MHz channel; deployment was completed in weeks. The network now connects more than 21 student workstations and six homes, enabling access to education databases, downloads, email and banking — transforming local connectivity and prompting Eloque Technophiles to plan further expansion using point‑to‑point backhaul.
