Skynet Maximizes Their Workday With cnHeat

Skynet, a WISP based in the Houston, Texas area serving about 3,000 subscribers across 40 towers, needed an accurate RF planning solution to pinpoint trees, obstructions, and exact signal levels for residential, commercial and enterprise customers. After other tools fell short, Skynet adopted Cambium Networks’ cnHeat for precise RF planning alongside their Cambium ePMP access points and subscriber modules.

Using cnHeat, Cambium Networks helped Skynet accurately predict line-of-sight and RSSI, model install heights (1–50 ft), and eliminate on-site surveying. Over one month cnHeat showed nine of 12 Santa Fe tower requests had no coverage and three required 30‑ft poles, avoiding nine failed truck rolls and reducing repeat visits — saving $2,100 total (about $175 per roll), roughly 12 hours of crew time, and improving customer satisfaction and overall sector throughput.
