Skaggs Catholic Center - Customer Case Study

Skaggs Catholic Center, a 57‑acre campus in Draper, Utah with 2,000 students across three schools, faced a BYOD challenge: provide reliable Wi‑Fi to support at least 4,000 devices and enable digital learning. To meet this need they selected Cambium Networks and its Xirrus Wi‑Fi solution with XMS‑Cloud management.

Cambium Networks deployed Xirrus access points (multi‑radio units) and configured radios to run in 5 GHz via XMS‑Cloud, covering multiple classrooms with fewer APs (the 1,350‑seat auditorium uses seven APs, the 400‑seat cafeteria two), saving on hardware and cabling. The solution enabled Google Apps for Education and blended courses (≈99% on‑time completion), simplified management for a two‑person IT team with self‑registration and application control, and scaled capacity (already doubled) to accommodate ~30% annual bandwidth growth.
