RFIT Speedway Races Towards Connectivity

RFIT, a prominent Argentine network solutions provider, was asked to deliver reliable WiFi across a speedway for a touring racecar series. The deployment had to support mechanics, press, registration and public access with high concurrency, dual‑band (2.4/5 GHz) access, multiple SSIDs/VLANs, outdoor coverage, smooth roaming for live video streaming and other services, and it all needed to be installed and tested within a 24‑hour window. RFIT engaged Cambium Networks for the solution, selecting Cambium’s ePMP, cnPilot and cnMaestro technologies.

Cambium Networks deployed eight ePMP 1000 access points (with 120° panels, each servicing eight ePMP SMs) and ten cnPilot E400 APs (two in the press room), all managed centrally by cnMaestro. The network served about 400 users and was deployed within the available time window, delivering a significant increase in total throughput—especially in high‑concurrency areas like the press room—better outdoor roaming stability, reduced roaming delay, reliable live streaming, and full centralized visibility and scalability for future events.
