Case Study: Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) achieves reliable, high-capacity government connectivity with Cambium Networks

A Cambium Networks Case Study

Preview of the Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) Case Study

Reliable Private Network Improves Government Connectivity

Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) needed a flexible, standalone communications network to connect facilities across more than 2,000 km² and improve uplink speeds after years of ad-hoc, single-purpose deployments. MBRC engaged Cambium Networks (with local partner CBO Pty Ltd) to provide microwave point‑to‑point solutions, including Cambium PTP 250 and PTP 600 in unlicensed bands and PTP 800 for licensed links.

CBO and Cambium Networks deployed a high‑capacity network of eleven PTP links, centrally managed and planned with Cambium’s LINKPlanner tool to ensure predictable performance. The Cambium solution delivered measurable benefits: reduced leased‑line costs, higher uptime and end‑user satisfaction, lower maintenance, centralized monitoring, low latency for video surveillance, and easy scalability as new sites are added.
