A Cambium Networks Case Study
Ramos Arizpe, a growing city in Coahuila, Mexico, needed city‑wide wireless broadband to deliver free public WiFi for hospitals, schools, parks and businesses across a 15 km² area for about 20,000 users. After a previous failed attempt and several commercial offers that didn’t meet requirements, ISP Servitron selected Cambium Networks — using ePMP 1000 backhaul, ePMP Force 180 subscriber units, cnPilot E500 access points and the cnMaestro management platform — to provide a high‑capacity wireless backbone and public WiFi.
Cambium Networks deployed 3 ePMP 1000 APs on the main municipal building, 51 ePMP Force 180 units and 55 cnPilot E500 access points, with cnMaestro cloud management; installation and configuration took less than one month. The solution delivered scalable, centrally managed connectivity (e.g., ePMP 1000 throughput up to 100 Mbps in a 20 MHz channel), a 24‑hour SLA for fault response, reliable service to ~20,000 users across 15 km², and a planned expansion from 55 hotspots to 200 to extend coverage.
