Personalized HighBandwidth Wireless Connectivity Enables Water Management Communications

Oman Water & Wastewater Services Company needed a reliable, cost‑effective way to connect regional pumping stations and reservoirs to its central SCADA control center after existing MPLS links proved expensive, unreliable or unavailable. Elite International Information Systems, partnering with Minerva Technologies, selected Cambium Networks' PTP 670 connectorized units to provide a high‑bandwidth fixed wireless backhaul to support SCADA, CCTV, access control and other operational systems.

The deployed solution built four links over 49.7 km using four 35‑meter towers, delivering up to 450 Mbps aggregate throughput and supporting 30 subscribers; the project was completed in two months. Cambium Networks’ equipment delivered high availability (links reporting near‑100% uptime), lower operating costs with no recurring line charges, reduced maintenance, improved latency and measurable throughput gains that directly improved water distribution monitoring and operations.
