Palm Beach, Florida - Customer Case Study

Palm Beach, Florida needed a discreet, town‑wide video surveillance system to provide 24/7 public safety and automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) across a narrow barrier island with challenging near‑ and non‑line‑of‑sight geography and harsh weather. The town worked with integrators using Cambium Networks technology — notably PMP 450 access points and remote modules plus PTP 600 and PTP 100 backhaul links — to meet high‑resolution, reliability and aesthetic requirements.

Using two main PMP 450 access clusters, 25 remote modules and PTP backhaul links from Cambium Networks, the team rapidly deployed an initial 78‑camera system that provided immediate, full‑megapixel coverage and ALPR capability. The Cambium Networks‑based network has operated with no downtime through storms and heat for over a year, delivered flawless video even over a 5.5‑mile link, helped identify criminals by vehicle, and is being expanded with community support.
