Sacred Wind Communications, a rural telecommunications provider serving remote communities on the Navajo Nation, faced the challenge of bringing home phone service and broadband to areas where less than 30% had phone service and none had broadband. Cambium Networks used advanced analysis and deployment of the PMP 450/cnMedusa solution to redesign Sacred Wind’s fixed wireless network, enabling the 100 Mbps packages. Customers migrated to the new network now routinely see 75–100+ Mbps, over 1,000 subscribers are already live with roughly 3,000 potential subscribers in the territory, streaming and downloads have improved, customer loss to competition is expected to drop, and Sacred Wind anticipates a full return on investment in under two years.
