Mountain West Technologies, a Wyoming-based internet provider delivering up to 500 Mbps to residential and business customers around Casper, WY, faced poor uplink signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) using a 90-degree sector antenna. To improve uplink throughput and reduce noise pickup from outside the intended direction, they evaluated Cambium Networks’ ePMP 3000 MU‑MIMO solution and deployed the ePMP 3000 Dual-Horn MU‑MIMO sector antenna.

Cambium Networks supplied the 4x4 dual-horn 60-degree sector antenna and matching ePMP 3000 AP software, which together focus gain on the boresight, minimize side lobes and maximize MU‑MIMO performance. The deployment produced measurable gains: uplink MCS distribution shifted higher and the majority of subscriber modules saw considerable uplink SNR improvements, enabling more uplink traffic, while the small form factor simplified base station installation.
