Montana Internet Corporation Nearly Doubles ARPU by Adding cnMedusa™ Technology

Montana Internet Corporation, a long-standing fixed wireless ISP serving Greater Helena, Great Falls and Lewistown, struggled with unstable equipment, poor performance and limited vendor support while trying to expand broadband to rural customers. Needing higher capacity for streaming, gaming and business services and a reliable partner, they turned to Cambium Networks and its PMP 450 line with cnMedusa™ technology to modernize their wireless distribution and backhaul.

Cambium Networks deployed PMP 450m APs with cnMedusa Massive MU‑MIMO and PTP 820C licensed microwave backhaul, enabling much greater range, capacity and resilience. The upgrade lifted typical subscriber throughput from about 7 Mbps to 50 Mbps in remote areas, supported 100+ customers on a single PMP 450m AP, and helped Montana Internet Corporation grow to roughly 4,000 subscribers; ARPU for users moved to cnMedusa APs nearly doubled from $40 to $79, while churn fell and scalability improved.
