A Cambium Networks Case Study
MUGLER SE was commissioned to deploy a modern Wi‑Fi network for the newly opened "Dampflok Erlebniswelt" museum in Meiningen, Germany. The challenge was to provide stable, high‑bandwidth coverage across 900 m² over four floors and adjacent outdoor areas in a protected 1914 building, with separate networks for visitors and staff and a scalable, low‑maintenance design. MUGLER SE selected products from Cambium Networks — including XE3‑4, XV2‑21X and XV2‑2T access points, cnMatrix switches, the NSE 3000 security solution and cnMaestro management — to meet these requirements.
Cambium Networks’ equipment was installed (XE3‑4, XV2‑21X, XV2‑2T access points; cnMatrix EX2052‑P and EX2016M switches; NSE 3000 firewall; cnMaestro management) to deliver reliable, high‑bandwidth Wi‑Fi throughout the museum and outdoors. The deployment supports interactive media stations, separates visitor and employee traffic, and is easy to operate, low‑maintenance and scalable for future needs — meeting all objectives and turning the Steam Locomotive Experience into a modern, connected museum.
