Jade Uses Cambium Networks’ 60 GHz cnWave to Take an Entire Town Gig-Speed

Jade Communications of Southern Colorado faced rising upstream and symmetrical bandwidth demand in the town of Manassa but had no funding for fiber and wanted to avoid the time, cost, and disruption of trenching. To rapidly deliver gigabit-capable service, Jade selected Cambium Networks and its 60 GHz cnWave fixed wireless technology as an alternative to costly fiber builds.

Jade deployed Cambium Networks’ 60 GHz cnWave V5000 distribution nodes and V1000 client nodes (more than 65 units across 12 city blocks) and also leverages Cambium PMP 450 products, enabling next‑day gigabit connectivity. About 2,700 subscribers now receive service via Cambium fixed wireless with speeds from 500 Mbps up to 2 Gbps; delivery costs are roughly 90% lower than fiber, installation costs can be recouped in about three months, and the solution has helped schools and residents get reliable, affordable high‑speed access.
