ISL Launches Wi-Fi 6 Network for 1,700 Students and Teachers

The International School of Luxembourg faced capacity and performance problems with an aging 802.11n/802.11ac network as digital learning expanded to a 1:1 student‑device ratio. With roughly 1,700 students and teachers and about 3,000 connected devices, ISL needed secure guest access, simple centralized management and reporting. They selected Cambium Networks and its Wi‑Fi 6 solution (XV3‑8 access points) along with XMS‑Cloud management to future‑proof the campus network.

Cambium Networks deployed 215 XV3‑8 Wi‑Fi 6 access points managed via XMS‑Cloud, delivering high‑density, software‑defined radios and centralized cloud management. The implementation now supports about 3,000 devices and 1,700 students and teachers, enables reliable video streaming, Google Workspace collaboration and BYOD, and provides secure guest access and reporting — restoring performance, capacity and stability across the campus.
