A Cambium Networks Case Study

Preview of the Impax Media Case Study

Increasing Grocery Revenue with WiFi Connectivity

Impax Media, a provider of in-store branded HD video displays for grocery retailers, needed to separate wireless traffic from 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz to support high-definition streaming. To meet that requirement they selected Cambium Networks and its cnPilot E400 Enterprise Indoor Access Point to provide the higher-capacity, reliable indoor WiFi needed for streaming video to displays throughout stores.

Impax Media deployed 10 Cambium Networks cnPilot E400 units (802.11ac dual-band, PoE, cloud-managed via cnMaestro, 16 SSIDs/256 users), which relieved wireless bottlenecks and enabled stable HD content delivery and operation of Ayuda CMS, Kaseya and tru-view applications. The reliable 5 GHz performance and Cambium Networks’ support helped drive strong shopper engagement, led retailers to expand the solution from an initial four stores to rollouts across Metro locations in Greater Montreal, and contributed to increased in-store revenue.
