Hospital Barretos - Customer Case Study

Hospital Barretos (Hospital de Câncer de Barretos), Brazil’s leading oncological hospital, faced a fragmented wireless network that caused data loss, limited internet access for patients and staff, and interrupted communications between medical units. After unsuccessful attempts with other vendors, the hospital partnered with integrator RJ Network and chose Cambium Networks’ cnPilot™ Wi‑Fi to solve these connectivity and integration problems.

RJ Network designed and deployed the Cambium Networks cnPilot solution—starting with a site survey, using preconfigured access points, and providing remote testing and training—while Cambium donated additional APs and Wispot supplied analytics and social login/SSO. The deployment ended reported downtime and user complaints, now supporting over 6,000 users and 8,000 user profiles with no slowing or errors; the hospital also absorbed 180,000 website hits during a name change without bandwidth impact, improving patient and visitor access and single sign‑on across campuses.
