Green Bay Police Expands Citywide Security Surveillance Network

The Green Bay Police Department sought a cost‑effective, easily expandable video surveillance solution to boost security at the Port of Green Bay and across the city without the expense of running fiber or costly monthly T1s. They worked with Cambium Networks, deploying the Cambium Networks Wireless Broadband Point‑to‑Multipoint (PMP) 100 Series to provide last‑mile connectivity for citywide video and broadband services.

Cambium Networks’ PMP wireless platform (installed with partner Baycom) created a secure, high‑capacity backbone that let the department grow from an initial seven cameras to more than twenty, cover a 3.3‑mile corridor and much of the city, and link with the water department for shared monitoring. The system delivered faster incident response (dispatching officers from camera sightings before calls), increased productivity without adding staff, reduced operational and payroll expenses, and enabled secure high‑speed links for events like Lambeau Field—demonstrating measurable expansion and cost savings driven by Cambium Networks.
