A Cambium Networks Case Study
Great Rift Valley Lodge & Golf Resort, a Heritage Hotels property in central Kenya, was operating a decade-old wireless network that reached only about 100 of its 300+ rooms and could not reliably support voice, video, VOIP or surveillance across the dispersed site. Seeking a budget-friendly, scalable backhaul that would resist interference and accommodate clustered user locations, the resort and local ISP Embarq selected Cambium Networks and its solutions to modernize connectivity.
Cambium Networks deployed a 12-week solution including 4 ePMP 1000 access points, 147 cnPilot ePMP outdoor subscriber modules, 147 cnPilot E400 indoor APs and cnMaestro cloud management, delivering up to 100 Mbps in a 20 MHz channel and centralized visibility. The new network supports conference densities up to 600 users, has nearly halved communications costs, reduced support overhead through simpler management, boosted guest feedback and ratings, and is being considered for rollout across other Heritage Hotels sites.
