Case Study: Frente achieves expanded last‑mile coverage and 5–10Mb streaming service with Cambium Networks Elevate

Frente goes the Distance with Cambium Networks

Frente, an internet service provider in Goianésia in north-central Goiás, Brazil, needed to expand last‑mile coverage beyond its fiber footprint because its network could only support 2 Mb plans and customers demanded 5 Mb or more. To avoid costly subscriber equipment replacements, Frente chose Cambium Networks and its Elevate solution to leverage existing radios and extend higher‑bandwidth service where fiber couldn’t reach.

Cambium Networks deployed ePMP 2000 radios with Elevate and beamforming antennas, using four sectors per site (each sector supporting about 50 users) and has installed 20 AP radios so far. The upgrade enabled widespread 5–10 Mb plans, supports streaming apps like Netflix, yields robust links even in high interference, and today serves about 600 Elevate users with continued expansion planned (roughly one new POP per month).
