Fast and secure Wi-Fi for the Monte dei Paschi di Siena Foundation

Foundation Monte Dei Paschi Di Siena, an Italian banking foundation based in historic Palazzo Sansedoni, faced an obsolete, insecure Wi‑Fi infrastructure that could not meet modern security standards or simplify employee access. To renew connectivity for offices and guest areas, the Foundation engaged Sit Sistemi, which recommended Cambium Networks’ cnPilot enterprise Wi‑Fi solution (cnPilot e410 access points) and the cnMaestro cloud controller.

Cambium Networks deployed 18 cnPilot e410 indoor access points with cloud management via cnMaestro, installed to avoid disrupting daily operations. The new network now reliably serves about 30 daily employees and can support occasional guest loads of a few hundred users, with voucher-based guest access simplifying administration; the Foundation reports a marked improvement in service quality and plans to extend coverage thanks to the solution’s scalability.
