Everest Link - Customer Case Study

Everest Link, a Nepalese ISP founded in 2000 and revitalized in 2014, needed to deliver reliable broadband across extremely remote, high‑altitude Himalayan terrain where travel is difficult, power is limited and skilled technicians are scarce. To move beyond an initial 128 kbps VSAT and early Wi‑Fi gear, Everest Link turned to Cambium Networks, deploying Cambium cnPilot access points and PTP 650 wireless backhaul to meet strict size, power and range constraints.

Cambium Networks’ PTP 650 backhaul and cnPilot solutions provided the throughput, range and reliability Everest Link required, enabling 80–90 km links and 100–200 Mbps service across the network. As a result (including a solar‑powered cnPilot E500 at Everest Base Camp), Everest Link now operates over 200 hotspots in 40+ villages, connects 34,000 locals, serves 40,000+ tourists annually and more than 1,600 climbers while maintaining solid links in extreme conditions.
