ePMPTM Overcomes Interference Problems in a Growing Louisiana Community

Kayse Wireless, a fast-growing fixed wireless broadband provider serving Lake Charles, Louisiana, was struggling to meet rising customer data demands amid heavy RF interference and self-interference. Fiber was too costly and slow to deploy, so Kayse Wireless turned to Cambium Networks and its ePMP solution (ePMP 1000) to deliver higher-bandwidth, low-cost packages across both urban and rural areas.

Cambium Networks deployed the ePMP platform with CNS management to overcome interference, extend NLOS reach (4–5 miles), and offer 5/10/15 Mbps subscriber plans while keeping costs low. The ePMP 1000 doubled capacity versus the previous equipment, delivers 30+ Mbps up/down per AP with ~8 ms latency at 5 miles, proved quick to deploy, and has led Kayse Wireless to plan a full equipment swap to scale the network.
