ePMP Elevate Changes Everything

Via Express Tecnologia e Telecomunicacao (VETT), an ISP in Dourados, Brazil serving thousands of residential and business customers, was constrained by legacy low‑cost wireless gear that delivered about 4 Mbps per customer and suffered from RF interference and capacity limits as streaming and multi‑device use grew. To boost capacity without the time and cost of replacing every subscriber unit, VETT evaluated solutions from Cambium Networks and chose the ePMP Elevate approach (using ePMP 2000 APs and over‑the‑air firmware updates).

Cambium Networks implemented ePMP Elevate by swapping only the legacy Access Points for ePMP 2000 APs (while updating existing Subscriber Modules remotely), using Hypure technology with smart beamforming, intelligent filtering and frequency reuse to reduce interference. The pilot of 20 customers produced at least a sixfold real throughput increase (typical service rose from ~4 Mbps to 15–25 Mbps; a measured uplink example went from ~3.5 Mbps to 18.5 Mbps), enabling reliable VoIP and streaming, higher‑speed plans, easier migration and plans to expand the Cambium Networks solution across VETT’s network.
