eni Networks - Customer Case Study

eni Networks of Mexico built its own wireless access network to serve residential and business customers but hit scaling limits as subscriber growth caused delays and lower satisfaction. To address capacity, range and interference problems, eni Networks selected Cambium Networks’ ePMP 2000 platform to replace its previous technology.

Cambium Networks deployed ePMP 2000 (including Force 180/Force 200 units) in the 5 GHz band with smart beamforming and interference mitigation, enabling RFC 2544 testing and per-customer performance visibility. The rollout extended reliable coverage from about 3 miles to up to 7 miles (12 km), delivers average throughput around 5 Mbps (peaks to 20 Mbps) in high-noise environments, increased expected capacity per AP sector from ~30 to nearly 120 customers, and now supports deployments across five Mexican cities with 24 sectors installed and 20 more planned.
