Desert iNET Delivers Gigabit Speeds to HighEnd Neighborhood With Fixed Wireless Infrastructure

Desert iNET, a Scottsdale, Arizona broadband provider with about 6,000 subscribers, faced a growing need to deliver fiber‑like gigabit speeds to rural and high‑end neighborhoods where trenching fiber was impractical or existing fiber/cable was unreliable (notably Cave Creek and Desert Mountain). To futureproof its hybrid network and meet rising work‑from‑home and streaming demands, Desert iNET selected Cambium Networks’ 60 GHz cnWave fixed wireless solution.

Cambium Networks deployed cnWave across the network — about 310 radios so far, including V5000 distribution nodes and V1000/V3000 client nodes in mesh configurations managed with cnMaestro and planned via LINKPlanner — with roughly 100 Cave Creek customers hosting DNs. The deployment enables 200/300/500 Mbps–1 Gbps service tiers, delivers near‑gigabit symmetric speeds (~913–929 Mbps) with 2 ms ping, achieves up to 90% neighborhood penetration, is progressing at ~15 radios/week, and is expected to have 500+ cnWave customers by March 2022, demonstrating clear capacity and customer satisfaction from Cambium Networks’ solution.
